http://shop.nokia.co.uk affiliate program was with OLD BUY AT and in my opinion that was part of the problem! During that time, a page Nokia Corked was created. However, let's put that in the past now, as Nokia are now with TradeDoubler, and Buy.at have reformed after having been taken over by Digital Window!

In addition to Nokia having a new affiliate program (Well Done!), they are also featured at a variety of pages at this site, as many stockists of Nokia are at this site. These are as follows: My Mobiles , Talkworld Mobile Phones Online , Wippit , 3 Mobile Australia , BT Mobile Home Plan , O2 - Genie Mobile Consumer Shop , Mobiles Please , On Sale , Phonebox Mobiles , Pre Pay Mania , Tesco Contract Mobile , T J Hughes , and T-mobile Deutschland

I'm also not entirely happy with Nokia and Siemens setting up technology so the government can spy on people's private phone calls, as seen in Iran where the elections were seriously questionable and the government tried to suppress a rebellion and revolution. Still, the company tried to defend itself by saying that at least the rebels could communicate, and it was the introduction of the technology in the first place that allowed greater freedom. Well that's as maybe, but what's really needed is communication companies to be able to offer communication systems that they can honestly say are FREE OF GOVERNMENT SPYING/INTERFERENCE. A guarantee that personal communication is privacy-guaranteed. Otherwise we'll expect a discount, and have to start using secret codes! If other companies start offering privacy-guaranteed phones, there'll be competition, not on price, but on freedom. See liberty

News 2011: After the announcement by the CEO of Nokia that Nokia would be going for Microsoft Windows 7 for their phones, the company's share prices dropped 25%. See, they should have gone for Linux!

Further News 2011 June: Nokia share price has now dropped a total of 40%. This has to be a sign to other phone manufacturers and a cautionary tale not to get lumbered with Microsoft. We do feel sorry for Nokia, and hope that they make a speedy recovery after they have gained the wisdom to dump Microsoft. It would be such a shame if a decent company such as Nokia went bust because of such a silly thing. Let's hope it wasn't an exclusive contract, or that would be a sign of impending doom.

Update 2012: By various accounts, Nokia has been led to destruction by the bad decisions of Steve Elop. Going with Microsoft was surely one of the worst decisions a mobile phone company has made.
