The Microsoft Store

Well how about that? Microsoft has announced the launch of the Microsoft Store in the UK. You have a mostly free choice to buy Microsoft stuff if you want to. Microsoft products include various versions of the Windows operating system (after Microsoft XP there was Vista and after that, Windows 7). Now although I am more keen to promote Linux, I know that it's a free market economy, and it's up to you to make a choice for yourself! Similarly, there's Microsoft Office, which is business software available from Microsoft via the Microsoft Store. It costs money, and there might be a special offer on it, but it's not going to be as low a price as the rival Open Office which is given away free. Again, you can have a look and make your own mind up. Microsoft has also diversified into the games market, and has Xbox games and other fun things available. So, if you'd like an Xbox (often available at less than manufacturing cost price), and some Xbox games, here's the Microsoft Store where you can get such things. Computer gaming has come a long way since tele-tennis, space invaders, and pac-man. These days on an Xbox it's high-resolution 3-dimensional perspective graphics, as if you are inside a movie on the television screen. It could become quite addictive. Again, the Microsoft Store is the place for these things.

If, like me, you're not so keen on Microsoft software, it's worth knowing that the Microsoft name is on some quality mice and other computer peripherals, which work perfectly well in Linux as well as in Microsoft operating systems!

Microsoft Store UK is in the business classification of: Telecom & Technology, Computers & Internet , and Entertainment.

Products include: Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional, Xbox games, and not forgetting... quality mice!
