Update 2012: The official website www.gourdin.com has GONE and the domain has been taken over by cybersquatters. This is surprising, because if the product was generally effective against diabetes, I would have thought its popularity would have grown and the company would have expanded like mad.

The key ingredient is Bitter Melon, which is a herbal item, as per http://bittermelon.org/ and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitter_melon

The herbal "cure" Gourdin was created by Pushpa Khanna, an Indian researcher, and there's an interesting article about her at http://www.hindu.com/2007/06/11/stories/2007061102850200.htm
